2006 s65 under 50k miles $20k w slipping tranny...Run?

10 C63, 06 S65, 14 ML350, 95 S500
I had my trans fully rebuilt with a torque converter and a 3 year warranty. Was about $4800 with labor. It was a slow leak from the front pump. Car is running great now, its been a year. Put almost 8k miles since, no issues. Shifts like a new car!

I've owned my S65 for one year and put over 15k miles. Bought it from a friend of a friend. I've spent about $10,800 in this past year. Currently has 95.5k miles and wouldn't hesitate to drive it to NY from Vegas. I currently have mine listed for $24,500 or best reasonable offer. If you spend $20k and add $5K for a trans your all in for $25k and have low miles. You just have to hope nothing else goes wrong.

Thanks to all the experienced, intelligent replies.
I have not ( and now likely will not) acquire the vehicle, as I've not yet seen it anyways, and my indy shop is not going to do larger repairs on the car - I'd have to get in line (fair enough) at a MB specialist nearby who, while quite reputable, takes weeks to get into. I don't know if the torque converter falls into the specialist or indy repair category FWIW...
I didnt bother to ask the seller if the fluid levels were low, as anyone who is offering the car at that much of a discount would have checked those things before listing. If he wasn't smart enough to see if it was just a fluid issue - I wouldn't go near the car at all.
We suspect the same regarding the trans - what else will go wrong after that? Without indyshop prices or a service contract, my pockets are not quite deep enough for the V12 issues if they occur.
