Sounds like your car is going to limp mode due to bad coil packs. Very common after an ECU tune.

don't worry...the problem is unfixable and you should give the car to me.

Could be the intercooler pump is bad. Usually the coil packs will throw a CEL but a bad intercooler pump may not.

Ok I can't really help you, but you need to have it hooked up to a Star reader and find out what codes are there. Come back with the codes and people can help you more.

I agree -- get it connected to Star.

My SL65 was a bottomless cost pit.

I'd guess coil packs ($3000-4000) or intercooler pump ($500).

Rockauto about $2K
Deep pockets are typically required for this car

You can buy new coil packs with lifetime warranties from FCP Euro for under $1500.00. You can also get rebuilt coil packs from Clark for around $700.

To the OP, flooring it and then the engine starts shaking is usually an indicator of a misfire event in one or multiple cylinders. I would not associate that with a failed IC pump.

Take the car to a shop. Nothing simple or cheap to do to fix a misfire on the V12 cars, it's most likely a failed coil or igniter, it's 10 years old but i'm sure it's never had the plugs done. Budget for the spark plugs, coils and igniter (3500 in parts if you shop around, labor cost depends on where you are, 6-7 hours). That should make the car run like new for at least another 10 years.

Where are you located?
