Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe
Snow Tires on S63 Coupe
I live in Boston and had an awful winter with the S63 because I had the summer tires on them. If I put winter tires on the car is it drivable in the snow? Has anyone had a positive experience with snow tires on this car or should I purchase a SUV for the winter?

I am in Ontario Canada--I have had snows on my past S63coupe and S63 sedan--They both drove with snows without fault--Suggest economy setting so it starts off in second gear

I'm in Buffalo, I drove my CLS63 (RWD) with snows and had only one problem in 3 winters... I was plowed in from the city trucks and didn't wanna shovel, so I drove out. Was tricky, but I made it.
I Plan on getting snows for my S63 this year.

What tires did you have on your car for the winter? I'm looking at the Michelin Pilot Alpin Pa4. But I was thinking of keeping the 255 in the front and 285 in the back. That should work fine right?

Pirelli 255/35 on all 4 corners. That's what size that was suggested by Tirerack.

Did you put the 255s on the 9.5 inch wide rims in the rear or did you have to get new rims?
