Hi all, been awhile since I've posted, used to be pretty active on MB World. Just picked up a CPO 2015 Palladium S63 sedan and haven't had much luck in my search for a successful front end conversion (bumper, bumper trim, grille, headlights?).

Wanted to check in here and ask if anyone has done this and may have a parts list. If I can't find the answer here I guess I'll be the guinea pig and start the process with my parts guy at MBZ San Diego to see if we can make this work.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, we have helped many S class owners to facelift their cars to AMG Line, S63/S65/Maybach. All conversions are possible and depend on desired result.

Let us expose a little what the kit consists of, so the W222 prefacelift owners could be more confident in conversion desicions:

Bodykit parts:
- bumpers (front & rear including front wheel coverings, underengine guard & license plate).
- diffuser (if change from S500 to S63/S65 then approrpriate exhaust tips should be added).
- side skirts are the same if AMG or S63/65 skirts (change moldings only), please aware - chrome side skirt facelift moldings (actually these are same as on prefacelift S65) are offered for long wheel base w222 only.
- grill can be kept (change top grill round Mercedes badge to black version and add AMG emblem) or change to double lamela grill.
Electronics:
- Headlights: facelift headlights will work with a custom converter control unit only, made by caraudiosystems which is programmed remotely with teamviewer. We offer our kits without this unit but can get it from caraudiosystems (for additional price) as well for the customer to recieve all in one package. Headlights play the huge portion in conversion kit price.
- Taillights: should not be a problem, will need additional wires and programming.

We have a generic price on our website which is changed according to conversion options.
We do not provide any assistance in converter control unit installation (it's performed by carsystems) or programming of tail lights(its performed by standard Mercedes programming devices and WIS wiring).

Is it possible to keep the old headlights when doing the 2018 bumper conversion, Or the headlights must be swapped along with the facelift conversion?

 

Because the +2018 front end conversion require the newer bumper, the headlight and hood needs to be changed to the +2018 version as well.

 

The hood does not need to be changed for the conversion. Both are same

Yes, you can keep them but the face-lift version look different (3 daylight stripes instead of 1) so it will be visible if you keep the old head lights

For coupe, headlights are the same
