CPO S63 Sedan buying advice
Hey guys,
I’m really interested in a CPO 2018 S63 with 47000km (29k miles) on the clock. It has exclusive package, premium rear seating package, rear entertainment package, night vision, magic sky control and intellegent drive package. The dealer is asking $125000 CAD ($95k US) plus tax for the car. It’s a one owner car and I have the complete service history for it.
Do you guys think this a good deal? This will be my first S class and my first AMG so any suggestions before I pull the trigger?
Cheers!

I've been searching for one as well, a 2018 S63. And from what I've seen, anything around $95k either has an ugly interior color combo or it has a "buy back" record.
If this one is neither, $95k is a good deal.

As far as the interior goes, I guess you can say that the interior color combo is boring/bland
- black interior with piano black trim. I’ve attached a picture below.
Looking at the prices of CPO 2017’s, this one looks pretty reasonable especially with the options it has but because of the mileage I’m having second thoughts.

Like all of us we may have different opinions. I don't think the mileage is high if it was a daily driver. I daily drive my '19 S63 and I have 14,000 miles on mine. One year from now I am guessing I will have about 28,000 miles on mine AND I baby my car. If the OP likes the car and has checked it out mechanically etc, the mileage would not be a problem for me.

I'm sure that MB can't CPO a buyback, but double-check the carfax.
Finally, check if they corrected the Major recall on the 2018 S63 https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/201...8V607-4860.pdf
It's such a great car, I had the 2016 S63 and I put 120k miles in 3 years with only one single issue at 116k miles.

I personally think that's a fair millage, looks like it's a nice built beside the piano black trim, it gets scratches when you look at it.

I’ve checked thw carfax and it doesn’t say that it was a buyback. The previous owner traded this in for a Amg GT four door E1.
That recall has been corrected and there was a recall about the steering boot as well. Thats also been corrected.

So after reading, could you guys could please educate me on this.
I thought magic sky control was only available on RWD models which weren't available in North America.
Is rwd available in Canada or did they do Magic body control with AWD models after a certain year?

As for the magic body control, you’re right and It’s not available with 4matic.

Congrats! You'll love it. All the stuff you were worried about, the "bland interior" - it's not bland/boring by the way, it's awesome. A black interior will stay cleaner, longer, than any other color in my opinion. I would ONLY want a car with a black interior.
As for the miles, who cares? It's a great price, you're lucky to be getting this one. Piano black laquer interior that's a bit scratched? I guess take it to a professional detail place and they can maybe fix it up to look like new.
I paid $188k for mine minus $10k off, 2 years ago. Your car is a total deal. You will adore this car. My friends that ride in the back seat say it's the most comfortable seating they've ever sat in.

I said it was bland/boring because most people find that combination too plain. I love black interiors. All my cars are black on black,
except the RX which has a red interior because it was the only available colour .
I do hate piano black though and to fix that I’m looking for a carbon fiber trim set.
I appreciate the offer and I might take you up on that if I can’t find one in carbon fibre.

So I took delivery a couple of weeks ago. All I can say is that I absolutely love this car. For a car as big as this, it HAULS!! I’m really glad I went ahead with the purchase.
The only issue I have is with the interior plastics which creak a lot. It seems like a common issue. However, I will be taking it back to the dealership I bought it from hopefully to get that fixed.
