transmission tune

Looking into getting a stage1 power tune through Eurocharged for my 2017 s63amg coupe . I am also considering doing a tcu (transmission tune) through them because of the lag (hesitation) in the transmission off the line. Has anyone done a transmission tune?
What's the verdict did it help or not?

You probably won’t get any response on this forum, but plenty on the W212 E63 which has the same M157 5.5tt engine and transmission as your MY17 S63.

Update:
After reading numerous posts in the E63 class forum I decided to get the Stage1 ECU tune and the TCU tuned. I went with Eurocharged Chicago. The car is a whole different animal. The ECU tune really woke the car up. The extra hp and tq is really felt. The TCU tune really made the transmission so much more aggressive. I feel like it got rid of the launch delay significantly and the gears feel like they shift so much harder. My son rode in the car and I floored the gas on a 60 roll and he was shocked at the kickback and how hard and faster the gear shifts were compared to before.. The throttle response is amazing. The car was decently quick before but this really woke it up. Im really glad i made these upgrades.

I’m considering the same thing. Did you do them together, or separately to see the difference each upgrade made?

Just when you get on it. The TCU tune allows 30% more of the hp and torque to be applied to the tranny. Stock there is a limiter allowing all the power to be applied it to save the nanny stress and wear. Some tuners can totally remove this and let you lay down 100% of the power and tq to it. That though is real risky and you are sure to be rebuilding your tranny if it is not beefed up for this.
