18 S63 - new rotors after 16k miles?!

Hello,

Recently took my car in for service B.

Have roughly 65k miles on my 2018 Merc S63 AMG sedan. (Dream car!!) I changed all my rotors about 16k miles ago and dealer is suggesting I need to replace my front rotors already?!

Does anyone recommend any aftermarket rotors?

non-ceramic brakes.. By the way.

thanks!

OP your rotors shouldn’t be junk after 16,000 miles unless you thrash them as I do. I’d expect you to get similar miles from your second set of rotors as your first.

Hint.... Carbon ceramic pads and rotors last and last.

Is this what you have on your car? I'd like to get some feedback on this set of rotors and pads.

I believe so, I am still running the factory rotors though as mine were not ready for replacement when I did the pads. I do have the Powerstop pads front and rear and the dust is non existent now. Work great as well.

MB protocol is to replace rotors when pads are done. Insane overkill and great profit generator.

In reality you probably just need new pads.

That’s good to know! So rotors are OEM but pads are the ones from above. They behave well with OEM rotors? No shaking/hot spots?

They work perfectly and produce no dust.

I see they also sell brambo brakes, wonder how those compare.
