EVM Installation

I bought an EVM from a company in Germany. The instructions they gave me are for an Audi so I was looking how the EVMs are installed for the S63 sedan? Did some searching online, but couldn't find much for videos or tutorials for the S63 (minus an search engine AI response lol). I believe you go in from the trunk, but I obviously noticed the clip going into one of the pipes on each side. Thanks!

I wonder if the installation is similar to this: https://mbworld.org/forums/s63-amg-4...ml#post7996640

Exhaust Valve Module which controls the opening and closing of the flaps in the exhaust with a fob remote. Renntech makes them, but I picked up this one from Germany which was a bit a cheaper.

To be clear, ASR.de makes them but licensed to RENNtech to be sold exclusively in North America.

Yep, it was very similar and I was able to get it installed yesterday. Had to raise the car a bit and I still need to get one of the wires hidden better under the heatsheild, but all in all it took about an hour. The clips were a bit tough to get out, but a small flat head screw driver helped a lot. Definitely going to do a res delete to get a bit more sound out of it.

What is the point of this? Don't you have a button next to your command wheel that opens and closes the exhaust valves?

2014 to 2017 didn't come with that option. Wish it did so I wouldn't have to do all this lol.

When stock, the valves don't open 100% even if you press that button, it only opens up when at high RPMs but as soon as it settles down the valve closes. During cold start, the valves open wide and then slowly closes back up. This module will make sure the valves are open 100% when you want it to.

Renntech evm
Hi my s63 came with a renntech evm but didn't have the remote from renntech so I bought one fast forward I tried to pair the remote to the motherbord to get the remote to open the valves but my motherbord seems to not work thare is no light that pops up on mother bord. So i tried lifted the car and checked the cables everything seems good but dont know what my problem is. Has anyone ever had this problem and can a mother bord be fixed because renntech wants $500 for a new mother bord too much! Also dose it relly make a diffrence in the sound.

Can't help with the issue, but you could always return it and order the one I got from Germany. It costs half as much.
