Safest seating position for little girl
We have an '04 C240 wagon and wanted input on the safest seating position for our 6 year-old child; she weighs 45 pounds and stands 43 inches tall. She still uses a car seat. She has the whole rear seat to herself and could sit in the middle or either side. We asked about the Mercedes BabySmart child car seat but were told that they were on recall.

The safest place is in her child seat, with a full child harness (6 point) in the middle seat on the rear bench. This is the furthest point from any impact and if the child seat and harness are fitted correctly then she will be the safest person in the car!

There certainly are BabySmart seats in her size that aren't recalled, but you really only need to go to that expense if she's going in the front seat -- and that's only necessary in the SL or SLK. Otherwise, it's just an expensive Britax seat.
Otherwise, I agree that center rear bench is the best place for her to sit. And it gives her a better view.

Hello Per Our Mercedes Trainer In The Midwest, And He Also Is One Of Two Slr Trainers For Mercedes Usa He Said That The Best Spot Is The Right Rear Seat Is The Best It Is Statistically The Least Hit And He Also Said The Out Bound Seats Were Better Than The Center Use The Info However You Wish I Asked Because My Son Is About The Same Size As Your Daughter
