2019 Mercedes AMG GT Sedan news
Just heard about the new 4 door coupe and I wanted to start a thread on news about the model. According to this review (link) on caranddriver.com, "the GT63 S will lap the ring in the 7-minute-20-second range".
Wow! That is one really fast sedan. And it will come in 3 different versions; the V8 powered GT 63, the GT 63 S, and the 6 cylinder GT 53. Sounds like they want to make it a car that is family friendly.. guess some families have to go to their kid's soccer practice as quick as possible. The est. 0-60 for the base engine is 4.4 seconds and top speed is 174 mph. The GT 63 S will have 630 horsepower. All 3 of the models will have AWD.
In US models, the car will be able to sit up to 4 passengers (in European models, the central console in the backseat does not exist and can sit 5 passengers total).
Pricing has not been disclosed yet, but what do you guys think?

We've actually been discussing the car for quite awhile. Most of us are looking forward to the GT 35.

Had one come into the shop the other day for a product training visit, pretty cool, still a CLS in my mind, but the interior is sick with the performance seats. Love the rear steering and some of the cool tricks carried over and even improved from the GT cars. Looks too much like a Panamera or almost an XF jag for my taste, but still beautiful.

What the hell is this delay for?
MBUSA promised the pricing in October and still nothing as yet.
No configurator either, even G63 too, their website sucks.

Saw the car on display at Beverly Hills showroom on Saturday, looks much better in person then in pics.
I'm pretty large at 6'4" and 225lbs but the car fits me like a glove, feels high quality and well put together.
Btw, after setting driver's seat for myself I was still able to sit right behind, impossible in E63 which is barely smaller.

Car looks great but that fake vent on the front fender near the door is an abomination. That's something that doesn't even belong on a cheap Japanese car, much less a high end AMG model. If I trade my S63 in towards on of these, I'd probably buy a body kit just to get rid of that!

I took a drive in one few months ago. When I tell you it’s next level, believe me! That’s the top dog, 63 model. It sounds amazing, and interior is everything!
