I am planning to order a 2021 AMG GT53 as soon as the factory starts accepting orders so my question is for those of you who ordered your AMG GT: how much of a discount should I expect off of MSRP? Mine would be pretty well optioned with an MSRP around $128K so there's a healthy profit in all those options for the dealer. Thanks in advance.

I believe I heard somewhere that the built in margin for these cars is 13 percent. It does not matter what options you've chosen.

Since the car is now in its third year if production, you can probably get 5-7 percent off of ordering it, but I pulled these numbers out of my butt.

Yea it's not 13% unless Mb finance loyalties.. If you have a mbfs loan or lease now.. Even then thats a lot.. I just started getting my 43 and 53 sedans.. Nice with the mbux..

If your interested in my builds on new 21 I can do a decent deal or an order.. I haven't driven the gt43 yet

I got 7% on a 2020 old dealer stock a couple months ago. I wouldn't expect more than that on an order.

What I want I can't have: the interior of the CLS53 and the body and grill of the GT53. That being said, I don't know what new interior options there may be for the 2021 GT53 so maybe you have that info now. Is there any interior like the attached being offered on the GT53 or do I need to order a CLS53 to get this interior (or similar)?

The only new interior option mentioned for 2021 is AMG Matte Carbon Fiber Trim. There's other new stuff, but that's the only new thing that will dramatically change the look.

I emailed you yesterday with my build and requested links to view your builds, both of the 2021 CLS53 and the 2021 GT53. Please check your emails to see if it went to spam. I'm interested in ordering a 2021 or buying an ordered car if it's specced nicely and the deal is decent. I'm leaning toward the CLS but am open to a nicely specced GT53. My current car is a 2018 C63S Cabriolet Ocean Blue Special Edition but I financed it privately not through MB Finance. However, my previous two cars (2015 CLS63S and 2018 C63S Coupe) were leased with MB Finance.

The CLS is very different riding car from a GT 4 door. Have you test driven both? You are going to like one over the other by a wide margin.

No, I haven't driven either. I owned and drove a CLS63S which is the predecessor to the GT53/63 but I have not driven the CLS53 or the GT53. I am not getting any younger so I am more appreciative of a more comfortable ride than a hard ride because the driving I do doesn't involve fast curves and turns but is everyday driving around town. That's the reason I'm planning to order the CLS53.

Yea, if you want a comfortable car, the CLS is the best choice. The GT 4 door rides very firmly and is much more noisy. It was quite shocking to me how firm and noisy the car is. But it was what I was looking for, so win!

Thanks! That's the sort of feedback I come to this forum for. That just reinforces my choice to get the CLS53.

Did you end up ordering 2021 CLS 53? I got mine a week ago like it so far.

I gave my choices to my dealer but he doesn't have allocation right now. They only had 2 allocated so far and those are already ordered for clients so now I wait for allocation. In case you or anyone is interested, this is my configuration:

I wanted to mention that forum member, Shahul Usman, Sales Manager at Euro Germantown Maryland put me in touch with their dealership's AMG Specialist, Steven Roumeliotis who was a pleasure to deal with. I've never dealt with a more patient and no-pressure car salesperson in my entire life like Steve! Circumstances forced me to order from my local dealership but if it weren't for those complicated circumstances I'd have been pleased to deal with Steve and with Euro Germantown. If you're in the market for a new Mercedes you'd be treated very well by Steve. Reach him at sroumeliotis@eurogermantown.com

UPDATE: My CLS53's build date was delayed and I just cancelled the order and replaced it with an order for a 2021 AMG GT53. Can't wait for it to arrive!
