Was wondering if you ever got a response for the lengthy VPC delay? Curious now is there is some sort of EPA/CARB hold on the V8 cars since they are considered “new” models for 2023. Preparing for a lengthy wait myself since my car is still sitting at the port awaiting ship loading. Also wondering if anyone knows what port Mercedes uses to ship to the LA west coast port?

At the top of your build sheet I think it says the entry port ( I know mine says VPC Baltimore)

ah I see, I misunderstood. It is strange we haven’t seen a GT 63 in the US yet. I wonder why the sl got their 63 version. I’ve seen like 10 at my dealer already.
change the Cargo Info Drop down to be “Cust Ref Number” and paste in your PO number from your build sheet. Once it is loaded on a ship it will come back with the ship name and arrival date in the US port. Until then it will say no records found.
Then once you have the ship name you can pseudo live track it on its voyage through various sites online.
To answer the question on the delay - he didn’t say besides “it’s normal these days” - I’m 99% sure it’s an EPA cert issue like others projected.

Thanks for the info and update. Based on your experience, I would assume none of the V8 cars will be released before April regardless of when they arrive to the VPC👎
Nice @us_cali hopefully you'll get the shipping info soon. Mine was scheduled for Feb 6th and went into production the Jan 30th. I put VIN in Mercedes Me and it shows my car but under a car cover. Hopefully it'll show the build soon.
Lucky dog! My car was built before yours and still sitting at the port. Any ideas how long the VPC is taking these days? Also possible holds on the V8 cars?

I am told that VPC etc to dealer (Long Beach to Phoenix) = around 2 - 3 weeks. Since the GTs travel in containers rather than open trucks, it is longer than a average-joe A220.
That's some amazing news! @us_cali you might end up having the very first 63S in the states! I hope everything goes smoothly through the VPC and you'll have it sitting in your driveway soon!

I have a question. I brought a 2023 c class that was already in transit. The ETA was February 1, 2023; however the car is still not in the USA. My sales guy don’t know anything. Any idea on how I can exactly find this vehicle.
