Remember Last Drive Setting? I, S, S+etc.

Hey folks, is there a way to have the car remember my last drive setting? I tend to drive in Individual mode but it always starts in comfort. Not a big deal, but in wondering if there is a setting that can be adjusted to remember last drive mode setting?

Yes but have to go through a third party coder though.

There is a setting in newer cars to put up a prompt asking if you wanna restore the last used mode. Unfortunately, that's as close as car manufacturers can legally do this. They are mandated to start the engine in the mode that was used to homologate the car and other modes are only allowed to be activated deliberately by the driver. So this prompt gives the driver about 3 seconds to tap on it in order to deliberately restore the last used mode. So it's a way to satisfy the requirement that the driver is choosing a different mode after starting up the engine. As mentioned above, third-party coders can change the default mode or I believe even code it to start up in the last used mode.

I also mostly drive in Individual mode, but I prefer that it starts up in Comfort to casually roll out of the neighborhood etc. and also give the engine time to warm up before I select a more aggressive mode. I don't need it to snap my neck pulling out of parking space or my garage. Comfort mode is perfectly suited for that until I find myself on the open road and start driving more spirited.

Yes, I guess that makes sense. I like it for the exhaust sound primarily...emotion start sounds pathetic in a V6 when starting on comfort. I have two twin-turbo V8 Mercedes so this V6 takes some getting used to. Even with the AMG sport exhaust. That said, man talk about gas savings compared to my other cars. I stoll might test drive a 63 and trade...maaaaybe.

Perhaps emotional start doesn't work as well with cold start anyways? I mean it works better with warm start.

I have no doubt he's excellent at what he does. The prices turn me off. As an IT Executive I'm pretty technical and I have the proper tools just lack coding experience. RJ Automotive has been my go to guy.

That said I've put some OLED aftermarket non MB lights in the S550 Coupe and despite them working perfectly fine I get errors on the dash when I hit the turn signal. RJ couldn't resolve it. If Benz Nina could resolve I might be sold but dismissing the error once removes the error until the next start and with 4 cars it's not a pressing issue.

I did have RJ enable ILS+ and Android Auto on the 53. Price was right and I already had the cable.
