Valve stem caps - what do you have?
Hi folks,
I just had my tires replaced and the id10ts at America's tire misplaced my OEM valve stem caps .
After providing a negative review in their survey, I'm now wondering what you folks are sporting. I've looked over the numerous chinese knock-offs on eBay but nothing really standing out except for some basic ones like these
Just curious what you folks use. TIA

Initially I bought these to replace the cheap plastic caps that were on the car when I bought her:
Then I bought these cheapies for myself and the other AMG owners I know as they were so inexpensive. Having said that I don't think it's worth spending much on an item that theoretically can be stolen so easily...

Those AMG ones are sharp. I was looking for red sleeves and red caps and it was over 100 bucks. I painted my plastic chrome ones. It's ok but if I see the AMG ones for around 20 I may buy them.

Those AMG ones I picked up were only a few dollars each - I bought about 4 sets for a total of 20 bucks including postage...

I've learned from experience...NEVER use a metal cap if you live in an area that has winter...they weld/fuse themselves to the metal stem and to remove you either strip the stem or as I did on 2 broke the stem off at the bottom of the threads...exposing the inner stem...at least it held air but I could inflate as the top of the stem was gone...needless to say all my caps are now plastic..and notice all oem caps are always plastic
