What width are you running up front?

Hello All.

What width wheels are you all running up front?

I was looking at getting 18x9.5 all around, with an offset of 35. Will this work up front?

Thanks

I run 9" with 235 tires and had good clearance, but too many variables to tell without actually putting them on.

I feel like I will be in the clear but just hoping to have someone chime in on an opinion. Noticed you are a fellow Bay Area member.

19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rears and no rubbing even with lowered suspension. Both front and rear tires are exactly the same diameter even though different sizes; you would want things to look even.

I'm so sorry; I corrected my message when I realized the information was not there.

So I'm a little confused/nervous.

My stock was 18x9 Rear with an offset of 35
My stock was 18x8 Front with an offset of 35

My new wheels are 18x9.5 with an offset of 39.

Will this even work? I guess I need to learn more about offsets..

1" = 25.4 mm
Your front rims are 1.5"=38mm wider, what adds 19 mm on side.
Now you are increasing offset by 4 mm, so the rim center will be 4 mm closer to the car.
19+4=23 mm is how much closer the rim edge is going to be to suspension parts.
Don't think you have that much clearance.

Perhaps not in context to your question but I stuck to 35mm offset though 'I feel' my rears could benefit with a deeper offset due to wider 275/30 tires; I have negative camber (with K-Mac bushings) to prevent tire rubbing on my lowered car.
Negative camber
Fronts: -2.68
Rears: -2.4

I'm an idiot. I wrote the sizes down wrong.

I checked the manual in my car.

My front is 18x8.5 et38
My rear is 18x9 et38

My new wheels are
Front 18x9.5 et35
Rear 18x9.5 et35

So it seems the front will be 9mm closer to strut and 12 mm closer to fender. I'm not lowered yet so it may work..

Rear is 4mm closer to strut and 10mm closer to fender so that's in the clear.

I'm going to mount them most likely.

I used willitfit website to calculate it out.

Front is in. Outer lip is fine. No rub on turns or during bumps. Very very close to suspension I'm spacing it 5mm more using spacer that's on its way.

That fender looks very close.
When distance to suspension arms will stay the same, the fender/tire might get closer when you make sharp U-turn on steep driveway

Hmm maybe, but when I did a drive way test it did not touch fender, it also is still behind the fender, so it would tuck.

Considering seeing photos of these lowered w211 i don't think I will have a problem.

Moto on here runs 28mm 18x9.5 on a lowered car.

Owners do lot of different things with their cars, but that doesn't mean it is recommend to follow their ideas.

I have 20X10 +25 offset in the front with 255-30-20. I have the edges rolled to to make them flat. If you look at the edge of your front fender. They actually go inwards at the edge. I'll take a side shot when I have a chance.
