There is a thread like this in the W210 AMG section.
It seemed kinda fun and it keeps people engaged. Sorry if created before.
Feel free to post pictures and instructions on what you did.
I replaced my driver door actuator because it had a vacuum leak and I always had to unlock the door manually by opening the rear door first and reaching in and pulling the pin up by hand. This dragged on for a while because I knew these things were a pain to do.
Heads up:
-It is not necessary to remove the window and the window motor to get the actuator out even tho it'll seem like that at first. The window must be in a completely closed position to allow the actuator to come out.
-You have to remove the door handle first and the screw that holds it is hidden behind the rubber door seal.
-Be gentle with these things. The plastic is old and it will crack.
Maybe not today but the other day i hollowed out my air-box and removed the baffles inside. And before that I hollowed out the elbow from the airbox to the intake manifold. I feel like my exhaust has more snaps and crackles now and it definitely surges forward if i let off the gas after heavy acceleration. Overall I love it and its making the car that much more fun to drive!
But yesterday, my idler pulley exploded, throwing the serpentine belt at 75mph (115kmph to my euro friends). Left me stranded in 100 degree heat and (seemingly) just as high humidity. Had it towed nearly 40 miles to a shop where she is getting a new pulley today.
But I did buy some new 18" Schmidt wheels for her! (I was enroute home when the mishap occurred).

Guess that should be a warning to all 43 owners to check and change (very cheap part) on a preventive basis. At the same time also check the tensioner pulley (that part is a bit more expensive), but at least the front of the engine should be much, much quieter with new parts
Couldn't agree more, DRBC43. That's my reason for posting my experience, sort of a, "PSA" (Public Service Announcement).
When the serpentine belt goes, you lose PS, battery, ac, water pump/cooling, etc. The bearings on my pulley seemed to work fine without any warning. Except for the fact that the car is nearly 20 years old and the pulley is probably original to the car.
Two days ago I installed my new air box mod. This one has a bell mouth inside the box by the maf entrance. This draws or pulls air much better than without one in there. If the picture uploads it shows what a bell mouth does but in this case with air and not water as the picture shows.
What a difference! This box out performed my personal air box setup that I use. Low end torque has improved greatly. Tires just want to spin, and when down shifting it's just brutal!
With all the improvements we see from this airbox, i wonder how insane our cars would pull with individual throttle bodies? something like this would look and sound amazing on our cars

Speed, have you got a pic of your actual mod? Are you going to be offering this new box for sale?

I will post pics in a different thread some time this week. I ended up making my own Bell mouth because the ones I bought weren't wide enough. The one i made is just as wide as the maf housing which is perfect. I will be starting a new thread soon with more details. And yes I will be offering this box, awesome throttle response and power with the BM.

it's been done. speedybenz did it in his 55 swapped C43. that, plus intake/exhaust and he claims he was outrunning M156 C63's...
I emphasize "claims" in that sentence, but he's not one to make stuff up
finally got around to fitting bumper number 4... number 3 that was shipped all the way to me from the U.A.E courtesy of fellow member cm60k just wasn't fitting right on the ends. but I didn't fit it, the body shop did when I sent it in for painting.
anyway long story short I figured out the problem. someone, at some point, cut my freakin bumper hangers by 2 inches! no wonder the sides were way off and would not fit into the brackets! now i have yet another bumper that needs painting, but oh well at least I figured it out
my friend totalled his white C43 so I'm scavenging it for parts. thinking about finally removing the hitch receiver on the tail and stealing his bumper to replace mine. mine is fine except the hitch receiver caused a permanent warp in it in the center of the bottom
why are the cables that go to the fog lights so impossible to find!?!?

I know, I've been trying so hard to find out more about speedybenzs work but every photo is no longer available and he never said what the stacks were tuned for so I have to start from scratch

Why not try getting in contact with him. I purchased some of his camber arms for the rear (never installed) and I still have his mail. Let me know by PM if you want it
Just checked the members directory on this forum and it seems his last post was July 1st 2015, so it seems he is not very active here

I tried finding more info too. Like you said all pics are gone. If I can see at least one pic I should be able to do one. Hope someone will post pics if they have any.

i think i might send him an email but in all my searching i saw a lot of people were unhappy with how unresponsive and how long he took to reply to people so i don't know how well that will work out for me.
