Did you consider going the C63 tips route or were you thinking about doing the barest minimum to get you a look you liked?

Didn't think about C63 at all, too aggressive for my taste, just wanted that simple factory look, and still different from the normal C300. If you know what I mean.

Yea, used high-temperature glue to ensure that it stays on. 3M double-sided tape alone won't do it.

Caution!!!
I ordered those from eBay. Came fron China. i thought I might give them a try since they were only 20 bucks. They came with their own adhesive strip. Looked really good for about 4 days. Then it was a mess. Apparently (it happened after I drove the car while raining) the adhesive could not handle the heat and started dripping a yellowish brown residue which then hardened. had to take the whole exhaust tip out and after a couple of hours trying different cleaning agents and then polish (with a lot of elbow grease) it finnaly came out. Here is a pic of the right side but the left side was worse.
i don't know if this could happen to you.

You need to make sure that you use high-temperature adhesive to glue on. The glue I used can withhold temperatures up to 250C, and it was clear like silicone, so I've had it on for over a week now, with no issues.
