Custom Steering Wheel Rewrap
Hey guys,
I'm working on something and I was wondering if a few of you would like to help me out. It's an alternative solution to steering wheel swap, may interest some of you to see the outcome. PM would be best so I can talk to each of you individually rather than quoting the comments a million times.
thx

Yes and its ~1/12 the price of a steering wheel swap! If you want to get one done let me know, lots of customization options. Even cooler for facelift!
Also looking for paddle retrofit.

Pretty much, you install yourself. I supply kit.
There are 2 distict advantages to this:
1) Much cheaper, and no labor cost
2) No downtime; no need to ship your wheel, YOU choose when you want to install. No waiting on anyone else.
There are so many design options, the possibilities are endless!
That would be very helpful for people who are interested in paddles and will be doing this project. I'm still working on figuring out the paddles yet.
To those of you who have PM'd, I see your msgs and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Very busy atm :0 feel free to continue to pm me to others who are interested.

1. Is the material vinyl and is it equivalent to MBtex, at least?
2. Is the material custom-cut to the W204 steering wheel?
3. Does the airbag have to be removed for install?
4. Is it only available in the pictured combination of perforated and non-perforated material?
5. What color of stitching do you have available?
6. Approximately how long does the install take?
7. Do you have any pictures of the install process?
8. How much does the kit cost not including shipping?
Thanks!

It is genuine leather (perf and smooth) and yes, very durable and nice looking.
2. Is the material custom-cut to the W204 steering wheel?
Yep! Make for other cars too!
3. Does the airbag have to be removed for install?
No, not at all.

I am in process of drawing up charts; perforated, non-perforated, and suede similar to alcantara are available. They can be used on different parts of the wheel.
5. What color of stitching do you have available?
Black, white, red, blue, gray, yellow, dark brown
6. Approximately how long does the install take?
Depends how good you are an hour or two MAX
7. Do you have any pictures of the install process?
I have lots of resources that I give to those who receive the kit, step by step both visual and writing.
8. How much does the kit cost not including shipping?
I can't say cause I'm not a vendor here
And for any mods who question it, I'm mentioning this because its "unmarked territory" for a mod (very nearly).
Think mikes power pipes.

ETA 2 weeks! Will have video and diagrams done by then.
Also you don't need to remove airbag at all if you don't want to.

Right well scratch that last ETA
I have some things to work out for production and stuff; also have some current things going on so not *entirely* the best time.
So new ETA, +2.5 weeks. Getting some samples out there and stuff but I want everything to be ready come time.

That does look really good but I can't help wondering whether it looks good because you clearly know what you are doing. I would worry that it wouldn't look so good if I were to do it myself.
It would be very helpful to see some pictures of the installation process so we can judge how easy this would be for us to do properly.

I assure you I am no professional haha. Its a simple design and once you figure it out and get going, the rest of it should a breeze. It might take a bit to get the hang of it at first.
Also written instructions with pictures will be provided, as well as supplemental videos.
I should have some pics of installing mine but not too many. I will see if I can find them.

All supplies needed to install the wheel will be included in the kit.
No airbag removal necessary.
Additionally I forgot to mention these things:
LEATHER COLORS: Black, Dark Gray, Dark Brown, Beige, Dark Red, White
Leather accents: Red, Blue, Aqua, Medium Brown
Ultrasuede colors: Black, Gray, Brown, Orange, Red
