Let's See Your Aftermarket Wheels

Im in the process of looking for a set of wheels for my E63s. Because the car is fairly new with slightly weird offsets there doesn't seem to be a ton out there. On top of that there seems to be almost no pictures with the wheels on a 213 E63. If you've got aftermarket wheels post them up!

Thanks!

Im thinking black or a darker silver color on this.

Do we know how wide of a wheel/tire combination these newer cars will fit? I have some 20" tires with nearly the same diameter as oem, but they are 305 and 315. The 305 front seems an unlikely fit. Thoughts??

Soulsea I know what size we have. I'm curious how big we can go. Not the wheels so much but what fits the car without rubbing. Tires were on a 2016 gt350

That I don't don't know,.

The first consideration would be how wide a tire 9.5" and 10" wide wheels can accommodate ... the second, whether changing the overall geometry of the wheels would affect the awd system.

Not so much if you're changing both measurements keeping approximately the same diameter, like going from a 265/35 to a 275/30, but if you're going bigger in both directions.

Personally I wouldn't put 305/315 on those width wheels even if they didn't rub and the awd system could take the change, they'll be balloting like moon lander tires.

I would go with an aftermarket wheel that could support the tire. This goes back to my original question. I wonder how wide a wheel and tire this car will fit without issue. Regardless of oem sizes or what I happen to have laying around.

What will fit...

Hi, if my memory serves me correct, we ran together at Devens. Yours is white and ran Hoosiers? I had the black R. Still have it? Hopefully I’ll see you out there in the E.

Regarding the front tires on the E, the minimum wheel width for that tire is 10 inches, the stock is only a half inch smaller. I would be willing to bet a 10 inch wheel will fit. I cant speak to the tire size though. its a pretty big jump. might get some rubbing if it fits at all. Unfortunatley wheels are hard to find for these cars and when you do they are $$$$.

That's me!! Sold everything I owned to buy the E63s. My concern is not so much with fitting the tires I have. I was just trying to have the conversation about what size wheels and tires will fit the platform.

I image we will do one or two events this year in the wagon. Assuming it's not in the shop...

S213 with HRE P107 in Satin Charcoal

Just put these on today. I may replace the bright window trim with the factory's black chrome version.

Excellent wheel choice Blue Sea. I'm a bit biased though since I have the P107's on my car as well ;p

Here are a couple of HRE setups we've done. We've got the fitment dialed in perfectly:

These setups look great! Yeah, P107's work on a number of cars, I think. Do you know what the center cap diameter is? I'm trying to find some Mercedes Three-Pointed-Star caps to clean up the look and give it a more OEM finish. Do you carry such caps? Thanks!

I've found some aftermarket ones on ebay in the past. The outside diameter must be 55 mm and the clips on the revers side should be about 52 mm. Here's the link to the ones that I found for my customer in the past - https://www.ebay.com/itm/4x-CHROME-W...oAAOSw7GRZCyPP

Looks great! What would be the ideal HRE setup (widths/offsets) if we stick with 20" rims?

20"x9.5" // 20"x10.5" is the correct fitment for the W213 E63 AMG. The above two cars used that but with 21" setup.

HRE doesn't divulge offset information until a customer has placed a deposit on an order. If you want the perfect fitment I've got you covered.

Finally made my decision and went with Forgeline VX1’s in matte black. Stock sizes.

I assume you meant a 2 or 3 piece wheel. While they look awesome, especially with a nice 4" lip, I will never buy a 3-piece again. With a 35, 30 or 25 side profile, they just were bent too easily when hitting an inevitable pothole every now and then.
