E63 losing boost and power. Dealer doesn't know what to do.
Hello MB community,
we have a W213 E63 ‘17 with @15.000km.
After a ton of issues with it (flywheel and such), now we have another one that's annoying as hell:
it's losing power and boost. Constantly. and a lot. and we can also hear it leaking the pressure. it's loud as hell... like a blow off but not really. it's exactly like a broken hose.
We first noticed we had a hose that kept moving out of place. Bought a new one, replaced it. Still doing it.
Then, we had error codes on the H pipe valve. Went to Mercedes, they replaced it (cut the exhaust and put new part in there with new valve).
Then, we noticed one of the MAP sensors on the right (as you look from the front), was bad, seemed like it was leaking from there. Changed it at the dealer, they even put 3 o-rings on it. And now it's still doing it.
It's only doing it when: it's warm, and shifting in full load from 3-4 and above (rarely 2-3). It simply loses boost and hiccups.
We have a powerbox on it, but we've kept if off since it started doing the flywheel problems. After changing the flywheel, it started doing this. STOCK. No powerbox on.
Anyone else that had this issue and what was it? We've had it at the dealer almost a month in total and it's still doing it.
Thanks!

2018 E63s
I'm experiencing this also. I noticed when driving and shifting around 3-4K RPM, the problems doesn't occur but if I shift after 4K RPM, I notice the power loss and car has no more boost. The problem doesn't go away until I park and turn the car off. This is so frustrating.

we’ve only had the powerbox on so we can do some tests.
other E63 with the same product work like a charm after months of usage.

To the OP, is the car throwing any codes for the dealer to look at? I ask as if a problem with BOV, it would go into safety mode and a code should show up.
I would also check the exhaust valves being stuck as this is a known problem with these cars.

Or your exhaust valve is stuck either open or.closed
From what I've gathered, that will cut boost after 4k rpm

grand daddy purp!
but for real, they made me do a test drive with the head tech and i floored it in first gear and it didn’t break traction and a prius passed me wide open throttle and the guy was like “looks good to me, i don’t see the problem, it feels kind of sluggish but no codes, nothing i can do”
