I've been looking for info for trans and diff fluid and having a hard time. Conflicting info on FCPeuro and ECS tuning. I couldnt find anything in the owners manual or the Bevo site. For the diff, I don't have LSD, is this the correct diff fluid: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-liqui_mo...iter/2048~liq/ And how many bottles would I need? is 3 correct?
That fluid is ATF 134 FE. You can get a case of it from a Shell distributor. Around $80 or so for a case of 12 quarts last time I checked. Also on MB's approved list.
You will notice that Liqui Moly is not on the approved list and if you read their label, it says that they recommend it for 236.15 not that it's MB approved.
You can buy all the other parts in that kit though besides the fluid, it's the same price.
I found the first link while searching; what was confusing is the op states the kit only has 5 qts, but when the link shows 10qts (same as the link I've provided above). seems like FCP changed it to include more fluid.
Completely missed the 2nd thread. thanks for providing.

Has anyone diy their transmission fluid replacement? According to the procedure, after filling, getting trans to temp, do you just let the oil drain out until it starts to drip? Is that the sign that it's full and can put the screw back in?

I don't think there is anything more complicated about these than any other 722.9 transmission service. On my S550 I did also drain the torque converter. Is that a thing with the MCT?

Yes, modern transmissions are fill-to-overflow-while-hot. The fill volume is therefore indeterminate. The 722.9 procedure is well-documented on this site, the 725.0 is also somewhat documented. Not sure about MCT Speedshift.

no torque converter in MCT. Multi Clutch Technology.
Yes. That's why I asked if it was a thing with MCT. Presumably it still has a roughly torque converter shaped torus that could have a drain plug in it.
It would appear to me that everything is the same, generally, except for the addition of dealing with the pump for start/stop. It seems like you can even drain the MCT. I saw nothing indicating it cannot be done. The only instruction that has a specific procedure is the fill procedure for the 722.97 (our transmission). And a review of it suggests that nothing is really different, though steps 2-6 deal with transfer case fluid service. It even refers to using an extra 2L to fill if you have "drained the torque converter" and this is directly inside of the specific 722.97 fill procedure instruction (which is an MCT transmission). That's my assessment. Nothing really different about it.
Not following. I have a 2014 E63S sedan. We both should have the 722.97 as far as I know, with MCT instead of conventional torque converter. However, I see nothing indicating we can't drain the MCT just like you can with a conventional torque converter. Take a look at the instructions.
The MB "startup clutch" is directly analogous to the turbine-type hydraulic torque converter+lockup clutch. The MCT unit is filled with out. WIS will indicate whether it can be drained or not.
@konigstiger may have posted WIS for this in the W212 section although I haven't seen it.
Similar but not identical wet clutch systems from BorgWarner and ZF are shown for comparison.
