The Black Beast
What started as a recommendation to a friend, ended up in my own garage. I am the one who ended up purchasing Eurocharged's 2002 E 55 and I have no clue why no one saw any value in this car . He went through the entire car and took care of what ever was needed.
He replaced all the suspension parts, lowered it, replaced the brakes with bigger AMG ones and installed the bigger wheels/tires combo. He then moved to the engine and pretty much addressed anything and everything that needed attention and in the process he replaced /fixed pretty much everything short of opening up the case. Once all that was done he then moved on to the interior. The seats, OMG, they not only look awesome , but they feel great too. New headliner added the final touch to the interior. Heck he was nice enough to even install the bezels for me too.
What really bothered me was, the owner isn't your average diy mojo. He's a factory trained Mercedes/Audi/Porsche tech working in a high end performance shop who not only has the skills but has the resources too As much as people talked crap about him or the car, I saw who he was and what he created so jumped on the opportunity. I really consider myself lucky to have ended up with this car. I simply Love it.
Oh, I forgot to mention, how the car sounds and drive though. The sound is simply intoxicating, the headers and the exhaust makes it sounds like a real AMG. The transmission he put in, makes the shifts not only quick but they are crisps too. My other black 2002 E55 with 80K in comparison feels and drives like **** now. The is a bad boy, this is my "Black Beast"
Man this thing is a keeper. Now ob to some random pictures. Getting detail before shipping This is with 160K miles... Love it
I think factory numbers are like 180-185 Kind enough to even install the bezels for me... free of charge My next service LOL

Car vibrated like crazy at idle so replaced the MFMM with Lemforder motor mounts, and the idle is butter smooth now. Gradually trying to bring the car back to civilization and to my taste. Still need to install the cup holder, new tires and possible repair any bent wheel/s and install the trunk carpeting.
Love the acceleration and the sound.
This was a great build to watch. And it was a good value. As far as he was concerned I think he rubbed people the wrong way sometimes, which is why they were roasting his for sale thread. Anyway, congrats and enjoy!

Still no tires yet.
First time, found out at the time of installation, the front 2 wheels were bent so had to get them fixed.
Day before, with the second attempt, the guy at the Discount Tire, broke two lug nuts with broken pieces still in the lug holes.
Took the car to our mechanic who knowing the case, still ended up breaking 2 more lugs while torqueing them.
He called me to tell me well you need to come over as there's bit more of an action going on with your rear wheels.
The color difference is where the lug bolts are breaking off
4 broke off by two mechanics so it can't be a coincidence
Could these spacers be ( 3mm) the problem, I think so? I guess where the bolts are not flushed against the solid spacers, it's weakening the bolts and breaking them off.
I think solid spacers would have supported the lugs and there won't have had any discoloration of the bolts either, there shouldn't have been.
Previous owner had E 63 brakes in the back with 295/30/19 and I guess he never realized the dang thing is rubbing on the inside and is actually cutting through the tires.
I really like the 295 look and I still think putting in an 8 mm or even 10 would push the wheels out enough where it would clear the inside.
I have OEM E63 -s wheels with 285/30 at home so going to play with those to see what's going on.
One bad news after the other but at least this time it will be done right.
