Selling My Roadster - What Should I Ask?
I'm selling my 2020 GT roadster. It has 4160 miles. Except for the bruised left bumper, which was replaced by the dealer who caused it with a new one, the car has been in no accidents. It is in perfect condition. You can eat off the engine compartment.
I'm in Southern California. What should I ask for it?

There are no 2020s with similar mileage. Those with substantially more are being offered in the $105,000 range. But I think that is too high. I think a sale at around $95k would be appropriate.

I sent you a PM. Here is a redacted copy of the build sheet. I purchased the car in September 2020. I also have the battery charger that came with the car and, of course, two keys/fobs.

I have someone interested here and one of my clients is a car broker and also has someone interested.
Let's see what happens.
I am patient. I don't need to sell but I believe cars should be driven, not kept in the garage.

Were you ablew to get it sold?
I'm looking for a 2018/2019 C roadster (sorry- I misread your original post. I thought this was a C) but I might still consider a 2020 from the West Coast.

I still have it. I decided to keep it even though I don't drive it much. It only has 4340 miles on it after 4 years.

If you decide to sell again why not try BAT? You can list with a reserve as you know.
Your C should bring premium bids considering the condition it’s in.
Best regards
Jerry

Thanks, Jerry. It's not a C. Just plain vanilla. But I plan to keep it and give it to my daughter.

Glad you’re keeping it. That way you will look in on the site and continue to share your wisdom with us.

Send me your CV first. But if you have anything less than a professional doctoral degree, don't bother. My daughter is a genius and works at the top law firm in the world. And she is beautiful. Her mother is a British actress and former Bond Girl.

Thanks for the heads up, though. I know better than to mess with a lawyer!
Also, my wife might have something to say about all this.
"former Bond girl". well done. Nicely played.
we also run an exotic animal sanctuary in Kona, HI. you can check us out at www.threeringranch.org
still searching for a 2018/19 GTC roadster to buy, though.

FOLLOW-UP: wIth regards to the "below market" car that instigated this post.... the seller emailed me that he "works on an offshore oil rig and is too busy to manage the sale of his car" and has now turned it over to a broker in Spokane, WA. (but he had implied that the car was in SoCal?)
I went to the broker's website. It says they are a broker and auto-shipper: SmartWay Auto LLC. Very professional website (https://smartwayllc.com/) that "looks" legit but also nearly identical to a company in CA, Smartway Auto Sales.
Then, I searched for their business in Spokane and the biz license was issued only 4 months ago. When I looked up the address with Google Maps street view, it was a retail space commercial office building in downtown Spokane. Definitely not a "car lot" or "trucking company" or anything auto-related. I suppose it "could" be just an office space with all cars/trucks kept in a warehouse somewhere?
At this point, it's almost certainly a scam. The SSLClassifieds listing is no longer there. I was discussing with someone that this seems like a lot of work, but I suppose for a $75-80k "long con" it's probably not? Especially if they can do it a few times.
It still doesn't explain the CarFax report that does show a 2018 GT C with only 700 miles at a recent dealership visit and auto registration in CA???? He may have just stolen the vehicle photos (and VIN info) from someone else's internet post?
Other than calling the dealership the c ar was recently serviced at, can anyone think of a way to track down that actual vehicle?
Before I give up completely (b/c I REALLY did like that car- and if real, the price was very good), I will probably call the "broker" to see what they have to say. Their website says to "call for an appointment to view a.ny of their cars" (though they don't actually advertise any inventory?) I do know someone in Spokane who could go to there and do that to find out once and for all if it really exists and is for sale.
At this point, it's frustrating, but also kinda fun to try and "catch" them. Other than my contact info (which is pretty easy to find anyway) I have not given them anything of value (except my time).
