Is it coming from the mirrors?

it’s hard to tell, but from inside it sounds like it’s coming from the section nearest to the mirror

There was a wind noise issue with the GLE but that is an SUV, forgot what the fix is but worth trying, you have nothing to lose or perhaps you could get your dealership to look at it.

Previous GLC generation had wind noise issue caused by airflow between the mirror and window glass. Design flaw, required acoustic glass on front doors. Went through the long fight with dealer on this. New GLC has no issues because factory redesigned the mirror, plus AMG GT has the same style mirror.

There is a simple test to determine the root cause: use masking tape around the window and see if noise is still there.
If not, the culprit is door window alignemet /seal.
Did this experiment with GLC to prove the mirror is causing the wind noise - it requires getting into the car via passenger door after tape is installed.

Yes, wind noise was one of the major issues with X253. Took me a year to get acoustic glass!

I see, I've been following the the forum for a while but not until at least 2019 when I started following so I didn't come across this thread hence I didn't know about this issue. Good to know.

Definitely interested in this as I also have the same issue as OP with my 2025 GT55 Coupe. There’s audible wind noise coming from somewhere around the driver’s door area as soon as I exceed like 35 mph, but only on the driver’s side. Was going to just take it in to the dealership after the break-in period, but if there’s something I can test or try myself to find the root cause, that would be helpful!

+1. It is definitely coming from the mirrors.... It's much more louder compared to my previous GT 4-Door

Sorry for delay, took me some time. The best I can find is just the TSB number below, we will need somebody with TSB access to get the entire document with pictures.

Mercedes-Benz TSB LI72.10-P-062500

Update on this: I took the car in, mentioned the wind noise, and gave them the TSB in this thread saying that it could potentially be a very related issue, and this was their response… they apparently did thorough testing of taping off mirror housings, door trim, etc to test if wind was entering the vehicle, and they found that it wasn’t. I’m also confused about the last line; it seems like they’re saying the PPF I have on the car has influence on the wind noise I’m hearing, which doesn’t make sense.

So if anyone else has this issue and ends up finding the cause, please pass it onto me. Would love to get it addressed eventually.

They are clearly not willing to help, try a different dealership.

I think I have this issue as well, from the Driver's side A Pillar, it seems more so on the Driver's Side Mirror side of the A Pillar, more noise than there should be at modest speeds. I also notice it from about 35 mph plus.

The above dealer blaming it on the PPF? What a joke. Is this what I will be up against with MB Service? (This is my first MB, was previously mostly Porsche and BMW.)
