So, where do we get the final info on this? Is there a cost? Any contests? Your Benz Group website is kind of confusing to me. Is this just for AMG's? I have AMG rims and body work on my 2001 R129.

It's a sweet ride, even if not AMG.

Mark:

Hey, if you are gonna be there, I am gonna try to make it. I went cruzin' around Newport a couple of weeks ago keeping my eyes (and ears) opened looking for your loud red machine.

But hey, what's this about, "bring the family"??? Go out and look in your car. How much of a family can you fit in there?

I'm still planning on it.

I'm still planning on showing up -- Even if it's just to meet a 17 year old who can afford $5,000 rims and $2,000 custom seats for his car. When I was 17, my entire car was worth only $600 (1966 VW SQBK).

Anyways . . . is the weather gonna be nice? Hard top or Soft Top? I might not show up if it is raining. So, it's at least 2 R129's, yes? Who else?

Mark: I don't think you are any kind of a brat. I've always thought your posts were helpful and I appreciate almost all of them. No worries.

I also appreciate the love you have for the R129 -- I am sure if you can afford to drive your car and fix it (or your father can), you could have bought a much newer car, but you didn't because you are such a big fan of these.
