I bought one from a guy in Germany about 6 months ago, it cost me about £200 ($300) off ebay!
It is basically yacht wire and a hoist. It sounds a bit legoland but it's fantastic!
Check out ebay in Europe from time to time and you'll see them on there. I think this guy makes em to order so they aren't there all the time. I'll post some pics for you tomorrow.

Check out your local MB dealer. I paid $250 for mine. It comes folded for easy storage when not in use, with locking wheels, rubber stopper so no metal-to-metal contact. Best of all, no shipping charge, no waiting. Open the box, unwarp the plastic bag, and viola, the top fits right in!!!

This is the one I bought and it's up there now:

(I forgot I actually paid £130 for this, not £200 as I said before...)
Try this one as well it's possibly nearer, but the mecahnism looks like you need a fair bit of room at the rear:

If I had a hard hoist I'd probably put the hardtop on sometimes. Now I just don't use the car unless it's warm enough for top down driving (tomorrow and the next day will be). My problem is that my garage has a concrete ceiling and I'm not sure how to mount the thing where I know it won't fall on the car. I have all the tools I need to drill the hole in the concrete for the anchors, I just don't know if I trust them to hold 80-100lbs suspended in air for most of the year???

Your local concrete accessory dealer would have statistics on how much they anchors they sell you would hold in the weakest suspended slab construction grade concrete.
Check it out. I’m sure you will gain enough confidence to proceed.
