Nice.... but why don´t you put on the AMG kit from the SL320 if you going to break that one apart?

It's the hassle involved, by the time I have paid about £300 to paint & fit the AMG bodykit to the 600. There isn't a great deal of difference. But I would like to make the 600 look like a SL 73, it certainly moves like one. I could have a little fun on those open highways...

The only thing that is different in the looks, is the AMG kit. The rest is just cosmetics, badge on the trunk, badge on engine and the badge on the speedo. Not every SL73 has AMG pipes and so on... A tip - Don´t badge it SL73. It´s really sucks when someone try to be someone else. Just show them your performance

I've been quoted $3000 to have my engine bored to 7.2l, I'm waiting on a quote for a supercharger as well. I only want either or but not both, I'll compare both prices and make my decision.

Which do you think would be better / more exciting?

Only $3000? That´s cheep.

About engine bored or supercharged.... I do neither. I should spend my money on woman, wine and songs The SL 600 have the power already and was not meant to be a dragster. However, you asked me a question so... The car will never be a AMG how much you bore your engine and use AMG pistons and crankshaft etc. It will always be a SL 600 with accessories. So I would go for maximum power for minimum bucks. That should mean the supercharger.

As I said before, I should´t do it. The car is nice as it is

Sunny Day In San Diego, CA

Spring has been very kind to us here in San Diego. My wife and I went out for a drive and stopped at Harbor Island to enjoy the view. You can see the Point Loma lighthouse in the distance on top of the hill (Cabrillo National Monument). North Island Naval Air Station is just across the water. A great day for sailing (and driving).

Great looking car. Nice setting for pictures.

Good to see you are enjoying the R129 .

I had not seen a post from you for a while. I was beginning to wonder if you had moved on from the MBWorld forum.

Hi ChrisB:

Glad you enjoyed the pics - we're surely enjoying the car

I need to post more often, I guess. Too much of a lurker.

My wife! I couldn't believe how she floored it at every light. I think she is reliving her street-racing days with her 1969 Camaro.

Hello Guys I'm a brand new member, although I own Mercedes Cars for long. This is my 1995 SL600 Customized by myself. It also has some power upgrade. It's a very nice driving car ! I own this car for more than 10 years and hope to own for long time ! Enjoy ! Positive reviews are welcome lol
