1992 R129
Lightbulb LHD Head and Tail Lights
So, long story short, my 1992 500 SL was originally sold in Japan. It came with LDH headlights and taillights (for light on RHS of the car).
Is there anybody interested in trading RHD head and tail lights for the LHD ones?
Chances are probably slim, but worth asking.

You can convert them. You only need new headlight lenses.

Thank you Andreas,
So, if I understand you correctly, replace the glass lenses and rotate bulb socket inside the headlight assembly.
That would take care of my headlights.
Any suggestions for the Rear fog light?

Right, it is not difficult. The same for the rear fog light, you need to swap the "wiring" at the back with the connectors and of course flip the wire in the harness.

I wish someone came and asked the same for Xenon ones.
I have RHD Xenons on my LHD car and it's gonna get me in trouble.
If you know anyone who has LHD Xenons they want to swap with my RHD ones, please let them know I'm here.

And no, Xenons are not adjustable for direction of travel. The plates inside need to be hacked and I am not gonna do that to my almost new Xenons.

Pure pragmatism, we both know how absurdly expensive the headlights are, you don't just throw them away.
