What kind of WAX are my fellow SL Owners Using
Even though this is a detailing question, I was curious what my fellow SL Owners are using for WAX on their cars, also what type of drying towels?
I personally have been using Merecedes Benz paint cleaner and paint care and Mircofiber towels.

You really do not want to use the Mercedes Paint Cleaner at every wash. The Mercedes Paint Cleaner is very similar to Meguair's Scratch X. I recommend this true polish. http://www.meguiars.com/store_meguia...A-21&store=meg
All of Mercedes paint care products are made by Meguair's. Mercedes Paint Care is Meguair's Gold Class Liguid Wax.
Go here and take a look at my wax job with a spary on wax. The spary on wax will last 5 months. http://www.mbnz.org/forums/forums/th...osts=11&fid=28
Look at the wax job on the attached picture with Optimum Spray on Wax.
Go to this link and take a look at my wax testing. http://mbca.cartama.net/showthread.php?t=5418

I use this wash mit to wash and use the micro-fiber towels for detail cleaning and drying. http://www.meguiars.com/store_meguia...-405&store=meg
I also use my electric tooth brush to clean the hood grils.

Mequiar's Carnuba followed with Mequiar's Quick Detailer, as needed which is about every other month - I park inside during the day and at home so the car only sees the sun or rain when commuting.
Twice a year a scratch and swirl removal....
We use OLD bath towels that are 100% cotton.

IMHO this is the way to go...
This is my method and I put it up against anyone's although I am not saying others don't do as well. This makes your car look like it has a coating of glass on it.
First you use a paste wax called Pro Brazilian Carnauba Yellow Wax. This is the link.

When your car gets dusty and it needs a quick wipe this will put it back to new in less than 20 minutes. It is called Pro Wipeout Showroom Spray Wax and here is the link.

Here is how my baby looks and I will compare it to even Tiggerfink's car as he is the master. By the way, in the dark, it glows and looks even more like it has a coating of glass over it.

Nice wax job LovinSL600.
I am no expert, but thanks for the compliment. I do go to a lot of car clinics sponsor by Langka, Meguairs, Optimum, and Zymol.
One thing that I leaned is not the wax you use, but is the techniques you use to wash, prep, and wax your car that is important. You just want to use a quality wax to get the desire results you want.

Several MB's Superperformance MK III Cobra
I hand wash my cars with the 2 bucket method; one for the car wash soap (NXT car wash) and one to rinse the sheepskin mit. I dry with waffle weave micro fiber towels.
At least once a year I polish the cars with Menzerna polish (only thing out there today for the Ceramiclear clear coat) using a Porter Cable dual action buffer (black ones perhaps twice a year). The cars are then topped with my long time favorite---Meguiar's #16 carnuba.
