Well, the time has come and she has left her home and found a new one.

The guy was really nice and loved the car so it made me feel good.

For all you Black and Silver lovers, he said the best part of the car was the color so maybe some day we can put Aegean Blue on the same level as Silver and Black.

I got $125,000. I think I could have gotten more if I wanted to hold out but I just didn't want to go through the headaches and I could tell they were about to come as many of you had described.

I had three buyers but not sure how many were real. He showed up today with a check and that was good enough for me. You can't buy peace of mind and it is now done.

Probably going to buy either a Jaguar sedan or BMW 750 LI as my daily driver.

Can't wait for my Aston Martin Vanquish S to show up.

Thanks to everyone for all their support and comments. I am sure you will still see me around as I have enjoyed our discusssions.

Again, many thanks.

Glad you sold it...kinda sorry I didn't buy it. Still waiting...sigh. On the good side, my new 750Li arrives at port May 19, so should have it a bit later so I can tell you how it goes with your potential daily driver. Still enjoying the sun in the Caribbean?

Any reason you didn't consider a LS430?

While I did look at the LS430 because it is #1 on quality I just found the appearance and design of the car not appealing.

I am probably going to get the new 2006 Jaguar Super V8 Portfolio which is a limited production upgraded Super V8. I believe they are bringing in only 150 a year to the USA.

Did you look at the 2005 or before? They did a facelift and I thought the exact same as you until I saw the facelifted one with some non 17" wheels.

I believe it was a 2005. I specifically asked about the 2006 model year and was told it would be the same car. Is this not true?

Yep. For MY2004+ there was a refresh. Looks better

I did some research on the Jag, and I think I'd pick that as well. It's faaast!

i would pick the Jaguar too, based upon the look, but I don't know if it is reliable enough to serve as a "daily driver"

What about the new Bentley sedan? In a recent comparison with the Mercedes S it won by a decisive margin, a real tidal wave on wheels.

Interesting you are looking at two British made cars, even if alot of the DNA comes from Ford...

If I had that budget to spend on a car, I would consider the Bentley continental GT instead of the Bentley Arnage since it's $80k less and looks sportier. I believe I saw Adam Sandler driving this same car in the TV commercial for the new movie "The Longest Yard"

I am sure you read the post on the Aston Martin forum with respect to the gentleman that was having problems with his clutch and Aston Martin took back his old Vanquish and he got a brand new Vanquish S.

I think I like how the British do business.

Well I certainly hope the Aston Martin experience is entirely positive. I know they are working extremely hard to establish and build their reputation so when things do go wrong they just bite the bullet.

You are right, a great comany.

That is absolutely correct. Yesterday I had the opportunity to meet the General Manager for Worldwide Service Operations. I believe he is one of the top 3 or 4 people in the company.

He is touring the United States and meeting existing Aston Martin customers and personally going through their cars with them making sure they are in perfect conditon and trying to understand any problems. When I was introduced to him yesterday, he had a flashlight in his hand and was going through the trunk of a DB7 making sure everything was working.

It was a real treat to listen to him and hear his goals and aspirations for the company. Everything was centered around making sure the customer had a great experience at all levels. I can tell you this is one great company.

We talked about Mercedes Benz and it was extremely interesting about what he had to say as he was well aware of the company's position.
