06 Pricing Availabilty??
Does anyone know when dealers will have pricing available for 06 SL's. As of last week I was told they did not have any pricing available from Mercedes yet on the 06 and on any options.

2002 BMW 745Li Black/beige, 2006 SL600 Capri Blue/Black still on order
Here's the way I'm playing it. I agreed on a price in DECEMBER for a 2005 SL600. It is supposed to be coming end of June now, and an 06. The price I agreed is what I will pay, no more. Tough luck (they told me they had a production slot in first week of February....guess that really wasn't so, was it.)

Increasing price by MB...
I have to say I find what MB remarkable. You agree to buy a car and you know the price and then they might increase it by the time you actually get it. What car company does that. I simply do not see the point after all in a year the depreciation will reduce that anyway.

It has been this way forever...
I have ordered Mercedes coming in at the beginning of the model year and it has always been as everyone is describing.
They never get the prices until the new model cars are shipped and about to arrive at the dealers. That will be sometime in June, possibly even early July depending on when the first cars arrive.
Dealers always order cars before the pricing has been known. I have done it that way for 20 years and there has never been a problem. I have always agreed to pay a certain price based upon MSRP or invoice depending on how the market was.
I would doubt you could get a 2006 SL600 at $500 over invoice but then again I have been fooled before by Mercedes.
My guess would be, if history is any indicator, that the 2006 cars will be 3-5% more than the 2005's.
What is being described in this thread about the timing of pricing is very normal for Mercedes Benz.
When I ordered by 2006 Vanquish S, I too did not know the price but in Aston Martin's case, the prices came in this week. That won't be the case with Mercedes. Pricing will arrive as I have indicated above.
Good luck to all with your 2006's. What a fun time.
