Keyless go under CPO warranty?

Hey Guys,

I recently dropped off my car at a mercedes dealership (different from where I purchased my car). It shouldn't matter right? Anways, my keyless go feature stopped working. I just got a call from the service manager and he said that they didn't know why it stopped working but they had to reset it. I will be charged the 119 dollars for inspection. This was not covered under warranty. Is this true? I read the CPO policy on mercedes website and it says that eletrical system is covered. Should I fight this charge?

Some info:

Under CPO.

Everything down to electical should be covered. It doesnt matter where or what dealer you take it to. If its under warranty than it should have been free. Dont quote me on this but this is how warranty should work!!

Update: It took them a week but they finally decided to replace the computer and everything was under warranty.

Mind sharing with us, which dealer in SoCal told you it wasn't under warranty and then wasted a week arguing about it?

I am curious too.
Which bonehead dealer told you that on a Warranty Car ?
Got a feeling its a South County one.
My first guess is in LN. Second is FJ.

My first guess is FJ actually, not MBLN. I hear a lot more bad things about FJ than I do MBLN.

It was in Walters in Riverside. I am just disappointed in the service. Their reasoning why I should pay for the repair was because they did not find anything wrong with the car. They gave me an example of a computer, if they found a bad hardware, the repair would be under warranty. But all they did was reboot it the computer and that was not covered. But my question to them was that why did it need to be rebooted in the first place? Happily (after a week) they decided to replace the computer.

So comes the good part, I was called and told that my car was ready. So after work, I got there around 5:30. After waiting for about half an hour, I was told that my keys were misplaced and they were looking for it. It took them another 45 minutes to find my keys. Once they did, my car was filthy dirty. So that took another 10 minutes to wash. I got in my car and of course the gas light is on. Checked my computer and I only had 5 miles left to go. I swore I didn't bring it in on empty. I was tired, it was a long day so I just drove off.

The people there were friendly, but the service is not!

Joe,
I recommend you phone or meet with the Owner or General Mgr at Walters very soon to have a constructive discussion regarding your recent good and bad experiences at this dealership.
