Hi All,
I'm off on the trip of a lifetime this weekend, to spend 3 days at the German Nurburgring (1 lap = 13 miles, I think) on a special "Mercedes Experience" trip. It involves the chance to drive a range of new AMG cars (including the SL55 AMG) around the Ring at great speeds, with one lap in the company of Stirling Moss. Will take photos and report back next week.

It was booked up when I first phoned up too, even though it was the first day of the magazine's circulation. 24 people had applied for 20 places, so there were 3 guys ahead of me on the wait list. I took a note of the girl's name who I spoke to on the phone, sent her a big bunch of flowers from Interflora and asked if she could possibly swing anything in my favour. 3 days later I got a call to tell me I had a place on the trip!

It's the girls up front who get all the freebies from the vendors even though I'm the one paying the bills. No one has been ingenious enough to make it flowers though. I commend your cleverness.
