Changing the hood emblem?
Does anyone know how to change the hood emblem for the SL r230. Its different than other benzs because it has the button to open the hood directly under it. Is it better just to have a dealership do it? Thanks!

2007 SL550, 2008 S65, Golf cart and a few non-MB vehicles
I have a 2007 and the hood emblem is just a cosmetic stick-on. There are no buttons beneath this emblem.

There for sure is a way to change it, it isn't just a sticker.

Here is mine, as you can see it is a clear extra piece that actually projects out of the hood. Look at both pictures.

I guess I will just have the dealer do it. It was on, but I had a friend change it back to the original because my old brabus emblem was scratched.

The hood emblem, you have to pop it from under the hood........ It a pain in the ***.. .... The picture of my sig...... is an SL replica.......
