Looking for 2005 SL600 or SL65 - MP3?
I'm shopping for a 2005 or later SL600 or SL65.
Could some one that has one of those cars please tell me:
1) Is an iPod interface available for these cars?
2) If not, is there at least an auxilliary port I can play the iPod through?
3) Does the CD changer in these models play CD's with MP3 files?
Thanks!

Hm, someone correct me if I'm wrong but --
1) If you want an iPod interface / integration you'll have to get a Dension Ice Link
2) There is an aux port in the glovebox.
3) The latter years do have the ability to play MP3 cd. What constitues latter years, no idea.
The aux port might've been removed after 2005, someone might want to correct me.

Thanks for the reply. So they removed the AUX port, but don't offer an iPod interface? Sounds sort of odd to me. The E has had a factory iPod interface for years.

Ken,
PM me if you would like to talk about my 2005 SL600. It's factory certified. I bought it for $92,000 plus $980 for satellite radio with 3800 miles on it when it was 10 months old. Now it's 19 months old and has 10,500 miles on it.
Black/Charcoal, Sports Package, Keyless Go, Parktronic.
I'm moving back to the beach and really don't have anywhere there to keep it.

Ipod interface
Hi Guys,
My local dealer is advertising a Ipod interface with the Factory unit that works with my 2006 SL55. I called them and they said that the Ipod goes in the glove box and I can use the steering wheel controls to manage the ipod. The display on the instrument panels shows the playlist and songs playing etc. I would think this would work for yours also.

Thanks for that info. I'm checking with the local dealer (Seattle) to see if that is available, and if they have one for the MY 2005.
The factory iPod interface for my 2006 E55 works great, I'm hoping they have something for the SL, although others have indicated that it is not available. I'll let you know what I find.
