Looks like after a long hard search and going through some contacts I found my car!
I awaiting to get everything finalized, but it looks like I am getting a 2004 SL55 AMG!! Fully loaded with sport package. 20K miles and it's black. As soon as I get pictures, I will post. The price even was better. Let's say it was a price I could not say no to. Most of you would die in here...if you found out. But like they say..it's who you know!
Can't wait! Finally!
Anyone ever hear of Cashmere? I think it's like a light tan color? Any pictures of Cashmere?

Be careful....
I just pulled my 2004 SL brochure and there was no "sport package" for the SL55. One was offered for the SL 500/600 cars. Is somebody trying to sell you a re-badged SL500? That could account for your low-ball price.

Maybe time to stay over at the W210 forum.
A re-badged SL500 is going to be missing this little thing called a
Super Charger.
Also,
AMG Brakes, Seats, Quad Exhaust, Dash, Etc, Etc, Etc.
Just a little hard to miss those items on a real AMG SL.

Congrats man.. I pulled the trigger on a 04' SL 500 loaded last weekend.. same mileage as yours. 20K. Enjoy your car!

I know the differences between SL55's and SL500's as well as you do. However, the original poster did not say that he had laid eyes on the car he was speaking about. Why don't you let him speak up about the issue of the
