CLK63 AMG Black....
I just got back from dropping my G55 off for service and my salesman took me to the service department to look at the new CLK63 AMG Black. They just got it in and let me tell you......the thing is gorgous, I saw it on the internet months ago and didnt like it that much but when you see it in person the car is beautiful.....but for $140,000 I dont know you could have the SL55 or the new CL63.

yea, it's pretty wicked in person - my dealer had two (a black one and a silver one) when i went there a few days ago. but like you said, for $140k i think i'd rather have an SL55!

I saw one at my dealership. It was pretty impressive looking, but I can't get over the fact that it's still a CLK, and it costs as much as my loaded S63. Okay, so I can't race the S63 on the track with the same result, but as an everyday driver, mine is waaaaaayyyy more comfortable, holds 5 comfortably and I spend a lot more time on the freeway than I do on the track.

2005 SL55 AMG
I would certainly take a GT3, GT3-RS?, SL55, 997 turbo, slightly used gallardo, used f-360 f1, and many more, over the black series. It's a sick looking car, I love the widebody and all teh carbon fiber interior, but its still a clk to me and at that price point, like I said, I'd take all the above over it.....this is just my opinion....

You guys are missing the point of the CLK63 Black Series. It is primarily a track car, one that no other Mercedes model could hope to keep up with on the track. That said for the money, like the above post states there are other more exotic/trackable cars, but compared other Benzes the Black Series is truly exclusive and vastly more capable on the track. It isn't meant to haul 5 people and what not.

I loved it when I saw it but I would rather the SL55 or CL63. If the CLK63 Black was let say in the $60k-$70k range it would be perfect but it doesnt look like a car that would cost $140k. Anyways I heard that there coming out with the SL Black AMG soon and I think there is already a SLK Black.

I would much rather the SL55 for horsepower and the hardtop convert. But, to each his own. Wonder what the resale would be in 12 months or 12,000 miles?

Its meant for MB fans who already have all the cars they need, thats why its so overpriced, target is only the very wealthy few with a Mercedes bent, these people are more likely to buy it if its EXPENSIVE.
Pretty dumb, huh.
Too much money does that to ya.
