What do you guys think of this car:

Would the mileage concern you? It seems high, but the car still has 2 years and 15,000 miles left on the warranty. Do these cars become less reliable as mileage increases? Is it really an issue... my lexus has 70,000 miles and works fine, 35k miles doesn't seem like a lot to me
What about this 2005 SL600, only $55,000 still has warranty. You can extend the warranty from Mercedes, I believe its around $3,000, correct?

Congrats! I would also be interested in hearing about your experience with SL600 w/ 65k miles. Did you purchase extended warranty on it by the way? If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay?

I spent another $5,000 for repaint the front end (too much rockchip damages) and replacing the headlights (expensive). I did not buy the warranty.
So far, I love my SL600. So smooth yet powerful.

I'm sure everyone has an opinion, but 35,000 miles doesn't seem excessive, it just means that the car was probably a daily driver (like mine). On a different point, I believe that it is correct that you cannot buy the car and then go to a dealer and get an extended Mercedes warranty, but you can buy an aftermarket warranty. With that said, I wouldn't own one of these things without a warranty. I love my car, but boy, would it be expensive to fix when it breaks, and break it will. I went out the other day and saw that it had some sort of leak. Into the dealer it went, and it was a sub frame mount that was leaking. Evidently they had to remove some part of the sub frame to get to the mount. Covered under warranty, but it took a while and I imagine would have cost a fortune without the warranty. Just my 2 cents.

Blank blank community college might do just fine. You know, studies have shown persons with a community college education do blah blah blah.... Just kidding. I would give a limb for my daughter and I applaud your decision. MB ownership is nice but it's just a car after all. I'm a previous owner who will shortly become a "current" owner and I understand. Good luck to you, your daughter, and your sale.
