My new Baby!

Like every excited parent I'm proud of my new baby. She's 178 inches long and about 4200 pounds...I guess she's big boned...

OK, seriously...She's a bright Mars Red '08 complete with AMG sport pkg., P1, Pano Roof, Trunk Closer and IPOD interface and only 64 miles on the dial. I flew into Chicago on Wednesday, and drove her the 250 miles home.

I know she's heavy for a roadster, but she seems so light compared to my ML63.

My near term goals are to start with a V1 or new Bel Radar/Laser Dect., Sprint Booster, and maybe a trunk lip spoiler.

Here's some picts of my new ride. I've followed this board for some time, and found it very helpful. I hope to be able to contribute, and help all I can.

Tony

Lookin Good.

Time to mod the car and you can start with the new VRP headers and an ECU tune. Also some Ceramic Tint.

Damn. Wish I could have found a mars red sl600! I love that color! Of course, I'm too cheap to buy new, so I'm stuck scouring the used markets.

Just picked up an '06 black SL600 CPO with 19k miles. I'll have to post my pics too...after I get the new wheels and the renntech ECU/badges.

Anyone have thoughts on where to get that rear spoiler he speaks of above? Should I just go through MB? Buy the one Renntech offers ($595)? Are they all actually the same, or are they different sizes? I like the size of the one on the '09s...

Thanks guys.

MBF...I'll start out with the smaller steps first, but those are two projects for down the road.

Metalica... I'm anxious too see your beast... post picts soon. Try here for a reasonable trunk lip spoiler

Wise choice Ex beemer! The 08 is so much nicer (IMO) than the 09's.
It is my ride of choice even though the ML is great.

Congratz Tony! Color looks fantastic! Enjoy in good health...:-)

Expecting my "new baby" sometime next week. I will pick it up in Denver and drive it home to Las Vegas, about 800 miles... really not looking forward to that... hahaha

Heck, I'm anxious to see it too! I don't get it until this coming Thursday! Then, I still have to get wheels and send out the ECU...

Thanks for the link, that's exactly what I wanted. And the price is right!

Thanks guys...

Just went and watched my local fireworks in the SL... absolutly the best way to watch them. I'm LOVIN this car!

Nevada... The ride home will go by in a flash, just down a Red Bull and enjoy the ride

Metalica...I'm happy to help. Post some picts when she arrives.

gqa... If Sprint Booster works as well on my SL as on my ML, I'll be happy. It's a great easy, cheap mod.

Here's some more picts I took today...

Great shots Tony...really a striking color combo!

I really love that ride home from Denver. I did it in an S550 (in a small blizzard), the GL550 and now the SL550. I love the curves and hills at 70mph+...:-)
