At first took me 1 hour to finish and figure all the steps out ( the right drop) , now it should take me less than 20 min as i know what each 1MM can do .

You can go as low as you like it's safe but also commonsense , if too low you'll bottom out and the ride quality is bad and bumpy . I went 1" all around so 3mm difference from the stock links in the front (longer) and 2mm in the rear (shorter) and i love the looks and the ride is perfect

Angry Rear Link Probs

Dont mean to stear this thread a little astray.....but......

I just installed a set ....

Fronts worked out ok.......

Rears.......not

Issue. I set both fronts the same length as well as the rears.

For fronts:
I removed the stock links, installed new.....and voila.....lowered, but left and right were different heights......played with each to get them about the same (but left side had about 4 full turns difference than right).

For rears:

Same as above, but when I now keep altering, there is NO change at all. My rear left has about 10mm longer difference than my rights, but still it is lower.

Anybody else have this issue? I drove the car around the block to see if it needed some movement to reset, but nothing........ticked as I have spent 5 hours trying to get them equal........

Is it your drivers side that is higher?

How much of a difference did you set the new links from the stock ones ?

I figured out the fronts........got them close, but different thread lengths.

My real problem is with the rear driver side. No matter what I set the length to, it stays the same height. Even putting them the stock height, no dice, same height.

I started 5mm longer for fronts and 5mm shorter for the rears.

Is there a reset someplace? A fuse maybe? Stumped and irritated with these links as now I cannot get back to stock height ...

Yes and no.....front driver side was higher than left (with the links being exact same size) and rear driver side is lower...and stays that way now......

I believe they are all in the same configuration........but your response (thanks) beckons another question.............. how would it make a difference?
The link is a point to point link, so the male vs female side of the threaded joiner would not be relavent.......unless rubbing.....which I checked and confirmed that there is proper clearance. Unless I am completely missing something

I thought the same thing at first. I had the same problem, in fact when I took the car for a testdrive after the links were installed and I hadn't realized the height differences after about 100yards I got the "ABC visit workshop" message in the dash. That's when I went back home, noticed the difference in height, re-read the instructions and realized that the link have to be put on in a particular way. If my memory serves me correct, the long end goes on bottom...but I'm not 100% sure, check the instructions.

Thats the strange part. No leaks (car has less than 8000 miles on it) and it does not sag. Just stays at a lower level and adjusts to the 3 positions like the other 3 wheels do.....just lower. No problems at all until the links were installed.............

My links are coming, a I hope that I will not have such problems...
So to be more sure how to make it work well I see those main points:

1. Put vehicle to the highest position.
2. Put links: longer side - up.
3. Lower all car about 1-1.5"
4. Put car into lowest position
5. Done

Is it right?

Nop leave the car the way it is , and after links are installed raise the car to highest setting to reset the system , give about 10 sec and lower the car . to lower your car about 1" all around links should be 3mm longer in front and shorter in back . That gave me more or less 1" drop
