AMG Conversion
Do you have any gripes with a person who mods an SL500 towards or exceeding AMG specs with forced induction, cylinder heads, bore and stroke, bottom end etc. and then badges his SL500 with AMG badges and V8 Kompressor badges, AMG wheels, air dam etc.?
Second, does any dealer sell these badges or the AMG Odometer that reaches to 200 MPH?

Actually I'm sending mine to Renntech. They do the 5.5L conversion, Supercharger, tranny cooler, oil cooler, etc. etc. etc...
It'll have 630HP when its done. I will be posting pictures and details on the project soon.

AMG Badges
Yes, the AMG badges are a listed part item that you can get from your Mercedes dealer. Last time I checked they were about $80 for the silver colored AMG logo that can be affixed to your trunk. In Canada the SL500's with the AMG package also have included the AMG logo even though nothing has been done to the car's engine or suspension.

You can also call and ask for Bob Brady if you are interested. Comes with a 4 year warranty on the engine, and MB will warranty the rest.

Wow, all that doesn't void the warranty. Go MB. However, I would buy an M3 instead of spending that much on a conversion. But, after this conversion, you'll experience more G's than astronauts.
