All I know is that it's offered by two companies in EU, one being INDEN. Made in Germany.

correct me if I'm wrong, but this would only work on a stock older amg, as in it wouldn't fit on an sl600 without lots of modding or an amg bumper?

No, it bolts right on like OEM, according to vendor, as long as you have the AMG sports package for pre facelift R230.
