What was the price difference if you had gotten them from MB? Just curious...

13.5 JL slim in passenger footwell, and a JL 500/1. It pounds. they said it was enough power due to side of box and amount of air the sub would push in it etc...installed in spare tire spot. nice and stealth/clean

Nice...you will love it. The difference from what you had to what you have now is night and day. See if you can download a song by Richgirl (I got the video off Itunes) and whenever I want someone to hear the bass I always play that song...

That 13.5 JL is incredible...

It looks identical to amgfan set up for the sub. Only difference I'd I used 1 smaller amp. Stock soles sounds awesome with the sub. I got shop to run spkr wires to trunk in case I add new separates. But u never will. Sounds amazing.
Why waiste tr time trying a 12 in the back, with rattles etc. I drive today too down and it was just as much bass! Usually have to di over kill for a cabrio. Having sub in footwell is best spot. Stealth look, frees up entire trunk. Plus the bass is right there! Not stuck behind in a sealed trunk rattllng away for others to hear.
Def. Best $ spent!! Nicer thought it would sound so good. I live bass. Had 2 13w6 in my e46 and this is better with 1 13.5 inside.

Use the jl set
up and I got bass knob in the ashtray.

I'll take some pics , but looks same as amgfan. I frwd his threat to the shop for install.

ive owned a bunch of cars but no convertibles

i run a sub in everything i drive so i understand the bass obsession
im not sure that 13.5" jl will be enough bass for me

my s500 had a 15 in it but i am currently running a pair of 12s that will most definitely out bump the jl

my only concern is how large a box i can run without limiting passenger leg room

im glad to hear that its sounds good with the top down i just really need to hear another car with a sub in the footwell
