Any idea or should I just have my painter try to match it?

What color? Ugly.

It's a non-MB color, I would think.

With the new devices the paint shops have you are better off to have them match it. You could make a career out of trying to name that color.

Was trying to find if it is a stock color in case we have to match it in the future. I think we are just going to spray some custom swatches and see which one the wifee likes.

Thank you

If it is a "stock" color it's likely not a US MB color. There are some BASF swatches I have seen but a lot of green in them.

I plan to keep the Vellano wheels that are on the car. Pretty big lip.

Take a look at Porsche's "Speed Yellow" or Ferrari's "Giallo Modena" to see if they are close matches. At least you will have real examples in the market today that you can try to source or match the paint.

It is always hard to tell from photos because of the lighting, but those two look pretty close to the SL photo that you provided.

Thank you Jackstraw
And thank you for not being critical of the color or sexual organs.

I think the color in the photo is pearlescent. I have Giallo Midas on my SE which is pearl/metallic. It is a bit orange and bright and we are looking for a bit more of a subtle pearl yellow for the SL. It's our toy/project. The paint shop actually suggested we get a jellow we like then add pearl. I may try that with the Giallo Modena. Thank you,

Roy

I don't think that is a pearlescent paint. The back of the car looks like a solid Yellow... almost like the new genesis yellow with some more clear cloat slapped on top. The front of the car has that bluish tint, I believe, from an L.E.D. Flash on the photographers camera

That yellow is real nice and looks good on that SL, It takes a man confident in his masculinity to push that ride cause it will attract haters
