Im thinking about changing the 2 pillars on both sides of my rear window coz its peeling but i dunno what its called or where to buy them cheap?? does anybody know a DIY forum with pics or atleast the part#?? Thanks in advance.

Just a suggestion, I had the same problem with my rear pillars. they were faded and had spider cracks all over them. I ordered DiNoc film in high gloss. I headed the area up put the vynal film on and it looks brand new with out anyone knowing. The fix cost about $20.00. MB Dealer wanted r612.00 to replace and install.

you can order the material from metrostyle.com and read how to install it. Very easy. Just clean the surface use a blow dryer to heat up the pillar and lay the material on making sure you remove all the air bubbles. Once secured trim and your done. Will look brand new. Use a microfiber cloth and a credit card or similar to smooth it out. Saved $600.00 from the MB dealer doing it this way. Cost about $20.00

It has a texture, right? Do you have any pics? Mine look bad but I don't want to pay MB prices.

 

You can get the original pieces from parts.com for about $100.
Takes 10 minutes time to do both sides.
