Tuned SL600 V12TT. German auto bahn

Hello....
I found this.... Tuned SL600 is realy fast.
+ 200 mph... = +320 km/h.

Mercedes SL 600 R230 no Vmax limit; chip tunned ~ 600PS, 920Nm,
shows 331kmh driving on german Autobahn A92;

What if your wheel comes off?

It is not build for speeds over 280 kmh...

I seriously doubt that. My SL does a little more than that in 4th gear. It would not be geared that way if it was not designed to do those speeds IMO.

I just will ad to this, that my Sl-65 shifts from 4 to 5 gear at approx 275 km/h and stops at 300 km/h (limited). It' stabile as a rock at this speed, so I'm very sure it was build to this speed.

For some years ago, there was a speed record setting at a speed track in Nardo in Italy where different tuned cars including a stock SL65-AMG was tested for high speed with officially equipment. At this test the Sl-65 won with 338 km/h and was also remarked as the most solid car to drive at these speeds.

We have 2 mile runway in the UK that hosts several high speed events per year, there is an SL600 which regularly hits 330km/h / 206 mph before the braking point at 3km / 1.8m

I got pulled last Friday which I knew would happen sooner or later.

No ticket, just a notice for no front license plate. Now, I have to order the plate mount. That was nice of the officer!
