Depends, whenever I'm driving (sweet!) I get a mere 7ish mpg, but when my dad drives he gets in the low 20's, around 22mpg.

I think I'm the reason we get a lot of rock chips also.... ;P

8 and 13. Sometimes 16+ on long highway trips.

Trimmer2,

Just curious, how did the RennTech modifcations affect the SL600's performance and what impact did they have on gas mileage?

I only drove the car for 3 weeks before sending to RennTech so, I don't know if the breaking-in period affected mileage or not. I've noticed no difference after the upgrades. RennTech's line is that there would be minimal difference. I do know now that it takes less accelerator push to get the car up to speed with my day-to-day driving than before the upgrades. I don't know if quicker throttle response means better mileage or that I'm pushing the car harder and getting worse mileage. I do know that it's a blast to drive!

When I did the Dinan software upgrades on my previous 540i 6-speed, my mileage improved by 1-2 miles per gallon...but, that car didn't have turbos nor the displacement...

Cool MPG

Varies --depending upon types of trip, and SPEEDS---
generally 12 to 13 mpg for very local-short 2 mile in-town trips, and over 22 mpg for 69mph InterState Highway driving; as much as 25 mpg for long non- interstate trips; e.g. driving at 60 mph on longer than 25 mile trips.

When I'm driving (or not) I usually just play with the gadgets and do short sprints.
