One thing my SL65AMG lacks, A Launch Control! is there anyway to do this safely? or is there a way to get it installed? I hate being left behind at the lights by a Ford Focus

Hi Rodney, the C63 is a completely different car to mine SL65 so the above suits the settings and Race Mode that the C63 has, in the SL there isn't a race mode option for Traction Control to turn on or off unfortunately it can be either "ON or OFF" , if you take it off and attempt the above you are playing with death. If its on the car reduces the power so badly you will take off that slow its not funny!

So, on your center console, where the AT mode dial is for C/S/S+/M, there is no "RS" option?

EDIT: Oh, I see - that's only on the SL63, no the SL65 for some reason - I though all AMGs had that.

You don't floor the car in 1st. Half-3/4 throttle is plenty with the traction control on, it moves out nicely, until about 40mph when you can floor it. I get chirping/light wheelspin doing this, which means i'm using all the traction I have available.

the 09-12 sl63 (r230) actually did receive launch control, but the sl65 did not as it retained the 722 5 speed auto.

the 09 - 12 SL is not a R230 but a R231 I think I said "r230"
