possible to lighten gas pedal effort?
anyone know how to lighten gas pedal effort? it is a bit too heavy for throttle modulation imo.
I am guessing this is drive by wire (04 SL500), so spring is in pedal area?
thanks !!

I have never found an issue with throttle modulation on my '03 as far as precision goes. However many owners including myself would like the car to react a little quicker to pedal inputs. If that's what you're after, check out a "sprint booster". They go for around $200 and will liven your car up quite a bit from what I'm told.

#bellwillliam. I have an old failed accelerator pedal assembly. It can be taken apart. Not without effort, but nothing special either - drill out rivets and the replace them either with new rivets or with screws. If you are in WA, you can just stop by take mine and see what can (or more likely) cannot be done. Sorry, I will not ship it.

^^^In my C32, the fat bottom frame portion of the pedal held 2 coiled 'screen door' tension springs. I think it would be possible to remove one of the springs to release some tension.

an update. had an acceleration stutter with P0102 code, replaced MAF. not only did a new MAF fixed hesitation, it also fixed the throttle modulation issue.
so my throttle modulation issue was due to MAF going bad, but not bad enough to cause stuttering...
thanks all !!
