Thanks but that repair kit is for the top part of the mechanism , when the sliders wear the flaps droop , story of my life ,lol . Its the actual Spindle with the Gear on it im after , not sure how it comes apart but they go together so must come apart !
Still looking for this flap , no luck at sensible money here in the UK

I'm having the same issue with mine, clearly something is stripped out and makes the flap "droop", as you say - when that happens, it stops the process of putting up, or taking down, the top - It'd be great if someone could point us in the right direction
Hey Tony. Did you ever find that part? My 2015 SL550 just had the same issue. That gear sheared off and I'm looking for the drivers side flap hinge piece.
